I AM THE RAINBOW
This book was especially republished to raise funds for the Lulu Foundation.
On July 14th, 2001, the Pyne family, while vacationing on Cape Cod, stopped at an ice cream stand. As it started to mist outside, a double rainbow appeared. Their youngest child Olivia (Lulu) started to dance under the rainbows. Lulu posed for a picture leaning against a bicycle rack. Unsecured, it fell on Lulu and severed her heart.
I Am The Rainbow is a true story of a mothers journey through grief. It is a story of hope, shared for all those parents who have lost a child and who still grieve.
Proceeds from the sale of this true story are donated to the Lulu Foundation. "Helping families that grieve and children in need.
Excerpt from I AM THE RAINBOW
A second, a minute, a lifetime gone by;
Then a sudden movement caught her eye.
Lulu was running toward her in this new place,
Snuggling her blankie tightly to her face.
A million times plus one, Momma kissed her "Lu,"
Joy, bliss, and love were the only feelings she knew.
Momma hugged her forever; she could smell Lulu's hair
,
"Now Momma, let me show you what I can do...here in nowhere!....."
This part of Nowhere was as different as could be.
Every color of the rainbow was all that she could see.
The colors were wonderful, brilliant and bright.
Never before had her momma seen such a beautiful sight.
Lulu's colors started to fade from the tip of her head.
The colors of the rainbow took their place instead.
The rainbow filled every part of her little girl,
When Lulu stood on her toes and began to twirl.
