Outline Costs

SO - WHAT COSTS CAN YOU EXPECT TO GET PUBLISHED?

Any quote provided by Abela Publishing does not constitute a contract and by requesting a quote you will not be expected to pay anything. Only once you have signed a contract with Abela Publishing will you be liable for payment.

Initial Setup Costs (also called Upfront or One-off costs)

NOTE: Prices US$ will vary depending on the exchange rate.

In reality, it could cost you as little as £350 to get published.

Registration charges UK£350 or ±US$500

(this includes acquiring the ISBN, arranging your contract, prep-ing the printer, chasing you etc. etc.)

Standard Promotions Campaign UK£498 or ±US$710 or

SILVER Promotions Campaign UK£748 or ±US$1,115 or

GOLD Promotions Campaign UK£1,448 or ±US$2,610

Editing Price available on request

(If requested a quote will be provided by WORDS R U. The quote will be dependent on word count and the quality of the script)

Printing Price available on request

e.g. A single copy of a 200 page standard paperback book will cost in the region of £3.00 to produce. 100 copies will cost circa £250.

Payment Plan

In reality, it could cost you as little as £350 to get published. But if you choose to have your book edited and promoted it will obviously cost more.

Stage 1: Administration & Editing

Stage 2: Publishing & Printing

Stage 3: Promotion Campaign

Because each stage could take as much as 2 months apiece, the 3 stages could be spread over 6 months giving you the time to gather the funds.

Through this payment plan and by taking it one-step-at-a-time you also have the added security of not outlaying a large amount at one time wondering if you're ever going to get what you've paid for.

Ongoing Costs

Ongoing costs are minimised because Lightning Source will print only on demand, hence the cost of printing, warehousing, distribution are almost nil.

Further promotional work beyond the initial 3 month campaign can also be purchased which will give your book longer exposure in the marketplace. Simply ask and we'd more than happy to provide further information.

Open Book Policy

As an Abela Author, you are entitled to request one free balance sheet per published book annually. Balance Sheets can be supplied more frequently but at a cost.
