A GREAT READ FOR THOSE IN NEED OF ENCOURAGEMENT
Suffering anxiety attacks during her early twenties, locked in her room Katie Ruth wrote her way from the pits of despair to a full recovery using poetry and her faith in God as a means to overcome her situation. Each poem is an emotional letter to God and reflects the stage she was on the road to recovery. Now able to face the world head-on these poems trace Katie Ruths journey back from her darkest days to the real world and back into the Light of God.
In her mothers own words: "The gift of writing enabled her to track a route of hope on the journey to recovery."

Here you will find a disarming charm and sincerity that allows grace to take you unawares. The truth is simple - God is very close and He loves us. His love is what our hearts need to be healed. Katies poems remind us of these most essential truths and they make us smile.....because suddenly we know - this is true and she has lived it.

Excerpt from A ROUTE OF HOPE
TYPIQUE de MOI
I havent done the washing up
I havent fed the cat
Ive got that wedding next weekend
And havent bought a hat!
Procrastination
Should be my middle name
I want to improve
But every days the same.
I havent done the paperwork
My desk is piling high
But all I want to do is sit
And gaze up at the sky.
Should I tell my doctor
I have low energy
Or just perhaps
Am I lazy?
We all have potential
So what is mine?
I should try my best
That will be fine.
STARS
Tonight, can you count the stars, as they blink at you?
They may seem like thousands, or maybe just a few
The big ones and the small, the yellow and the white
You may see throughout the day, but mostly just at night
Sometimes they will sparkle, while shining down on you
Like they are reflecting all the good you do
Our Lord gave us the stars and shows us there is light,
No matter where; we are reminded of his might.
Family
Family, leaves on a tree
Places we can feel comfy
Similarity, or the same
Those who use a middle name
Those who are aware of shame
Yet full of love, all the same.
Such a love is elsewhere rare
But here is plenty, and we share
Nothing pushes us apart
Because we are adjoined in heart.
